The recent paper by Arnold and colleagues, AAPT Diagnostic Criteria for Fibromyalgia1, introduce new criteria for fibromyalgia which, surprisingly, had never been tested and for which no prevalence or correlative data were available or presented. As the senior author of previous fibromyalgia criteria sets2-5, I would offer the following data and commentary.
